5 Affirmations To Start Your Day with Good Vibes

I realized that I can get stressed and anxious pretty easily. While being this way hasn’t (in my opinion) stopped me from really doing anything, it does occasionally make it harder to get through a tough day, which is one of the reasons I started practicing yoga. I had a pretty packed schedule all throughout high school, and needed some way to productively unwind. But, what I realized when I began practicing yoga is that you don’t really get the full benefits of the practice if you check-out right when the session ends. Yoga needs to be a full time thing, meaning you have to constantly be finding your inner zen, regardless of what you’re doing and where you’re at.

I’m always at my worst right when I wake up. I don’t think I’ve ever had a day where I was excited to get out of bed and start my day. This is obviously one of the reasons why I’m so high strung all day. I start on a bad note, so I’m more prone to continue on this downward spiral into gloom and cynicism. That sounds just as terrible as it actually is. So, recently I’ve been trying to start my days on a more positive note by reminding myself that I am extremely fortunate and blessed. Today, I’m going to share with you my favorite affirmations to start your day off with some good vibes.

  1. I am thankful for another day to change the world by becoming a better me.
  2. I forgive myself for yesterday’s mistakes because they were necessary lessons I needed to learn.
  3. Today I will try my best to be compassionate, confident, and caring.
  4. Today I will let go of the things I cannot control within myself and others.
  5. Today I will be kinder than I feel.

While it is still probably difficult to start off your mornings with a clear and positive mind, the very least you can do is try. Though I fail often during the day, I want to end my day knowing that I tried. Each new day is a new chance to be a better person, even if it means changing only one small thing about yourself.
